Why I'm A Fan Of Candor When It Comes To Feedback
I am more often than not, surprised by leadership aversion to confrontation and candor.
Leaders will outline their employee issues, desires for their improvement, and ideas for their improvement. But, not share this feedback with the individual or team!
I’ve worked in HR for years and have become accustomed to being a soundboard to thousands of leaders.
I often wonder, why don’t you just share this with them?
Perhaps this is why I’ve become an expert in sharing feedback; I’ve learned to help leaders do this, or find ways to appropriately supplement what’s been shared with them.
I want both parties to succeed. How will someone know how to improve, unless someone tells them the ‘what’ and the ‘how’? Let’s do this!
